Always great food and service

This is definitely one of the finest place to eat in the region. Anytime I come to this place I am exceedingly glad. They hold their very high level service and the highest level of food they serve. You surely will enjoy this this restaurant. Very recommended.

The wings were OK , beer tastes flat and stale. My salad cost 20 dollars... total check was 86 dollars for 2 adults , 2 kids for lunch. Took 2 hours to eat lunch there.. the sign said " lunch with santa , Saturday dec 1 .. what year is that from ???

The absolute worst food ever 85 dollars and threw most of it in the garbage i would never advise anyone to eat from there

Very nice atmosphere, wait staff is very nice. We enjoyed reading the history of the restaurant, which was located on the table. Food was good. But the wings are absolutely delicious! Event though a bit charred, Loved the crispy skin and flavor from the barbecue.Pulled pork with Swiss cheese sandwich very very good and great sweet potato fries!Chicken fried steak was very thin and part of it was so crispy I couldn’t eat it.Caesar salad great.Green sweet tea delicious!Wings FANTASTIC!

This place is awesome with sweet staff! I loved the food I eat the and not pricy at all! This place to be visited by people internationally too! This is a country side restaurant with the local culture! I loved it!! If you are passing by this restaurant you must definitely stop 🛑 and eat!

Food is decent...overpriced!

Food was good, service was good but somewhat slow. Only annoying thing was being asked repeatedly it we were done with our plates even when there was obviously more food that was being actively consumed.

I just went to the Homestead for the first time in a long time which is bizarre since I live right down the road. The restaurant was decorated beautifully for Christmas which got me in the Christmas spirit and I ended up buying new Christmas decorations when I left. My dinner was very good. I got one of the specials and it didn't disappoint. Our waitress was friendly and great with my one-year-old son. It was a good experience all together.

Dinner frequently busy, but with good reason. Recommend burgers and chicken.

Food was good for most of our party of 6. One person didn't like the chicken sandwich. Their house made potato chips are great. Service was adequate.

Absolutely awesome place. A must stop in Sparta. Great burgers and wonderful mozzarella sticks! Friendly staff make this a great find.

This is the best place to go every time we celebrate. Great service, great food, great atmosphere. The best waitress is Nancy. The best waiter is Justin.

This is a great place for lunch or dinner. I love the fireplace during the winter months. The staff is friendly and the food is tasty.

It's been a few years since I've been here and I honestly don't remember why I waited so long between visits! If you want the best burger in Sussex County, this is it. Hands down. The french onion soup is outstanding and all their soft drinks come in quart sized Mason jars - you definitely won't leave thirsty. It's comfortable, relaxed, and definitely has a cowboy type vibe. My mom ordered eggplant rolllatini which was a great texture but maybe a little salty. It came with a salad and it was so big it could almost have been the meal itself. Our waitress, Joyce, was very friendly and quite liberal with calling me "hun" - I loved every single one she said. I could see myself becoming a regular here, especially for the value for the money.

Great find! Nice beer selection and a big menu. Food was absolutely delicious! Portions are really big. Picture is a half rack of ribs! Service was really friendly. Prices were reasonable. Definitely be back when I'm in the area (or near Mtn Creek resort!)

The Homestead serves excellent burgers and the food is delicious overall. I’ve been here a couple of times during the past few years with family and we’ve always been delighted with the food and service. Highly recommend!

Fantastic burgers. French onion soup is their specialty and it is spectacular! Love this gem of a place.

Deep fried onion, french onion soup, smoked BBQ ribs or a steak. Prime rib, a burger or chicken fried steak! Oh yeah.... that's right, chicken fried steak. It's all good, reasonably priced and good beer on tap. Friendly attentive staff, we like going here.

Love the nachos here. It is a meal in and of itself. Great burgers and everyone is friendly. Full bar and table service with reasonable prices. Ample parking but the lot is muddy with puddles and ruts when wet.

My family and I had lunch here. The food was absolutely fantastic. The French Onion Soup was on point, the seafood stuffed mushroom with lobster cream sauce was superb, and the mozzarella sticks were the biggest I've ever had.The only downside was the service. The restaurant wasn't that busy and we hardly ever saw the waitress. No drink refills at all. When we were done eating we had to wait almost 15 minutes just to ask for take out boxes and get our check.

Great and generous meal and then a fun time at the bar with a friend. The staff was very friendly.

Great chicken spurs that are real chicken .Homemade salad dressings ...really good salads and tuesday is rodeo night , which is a mexican night . Very good mecican food !Burgers are great too !

Awesome burger, best I’ve had in a long time. The mozz stick we’re also awesome and huge servicing. My wife and Dad went healthier with a salad and salmon dish and said those were excellent too. I’m new to area and excited this spot is one of our neighbors!

Good food, friendly staff. Fresh cut Fries were "old & wrinkled". Mom didn't like them at all. Filling. Need to seat us in cushioned chairs next time. Moms back got sore from wooden bench.

The food is fresh, big portions and the atmosphere is unique and very warm and welcoming.

The staff was accommodating, friendly, and responsive. Mozzarella sticks were some of the best I have ever had. Burger and fries were great and I hear the Cole slaw is fantastic. Can't wait to come back. Thank you Homestead Rest team.
